Microsoft Teams search has a new look

It used to be when you searched for something in Microsoft Teams, you got the results in the Feed section, and you had to scroll through the feed to find what you were looking for. Now, the search results are in the main display area, conveniently broken out by People, Messages, and Files. Here’s what it looks like…

In this example, I’m searching for “mahan“. Under People, I get exact and partial matches to people who have mahan in their name (such as Sandra). Under Messages, I get chat messages in Teams that also meet the mahan matching requirement:

Keep in mind… you will not be able to see anything that you don’t have access to. Like all parts of Microsoft 365, Teams search results are security trimmed.
