Using @mentions in Microsoft List comments

The addition of commenting in a list item was a great addition to Microsoft Lists, but it wasn’t easy to know when a particular comment might need your attention. That’s been addressed with the ability to use @mentions in a comment so that the person mentioned will get notified. This is how that works…

Here’s an open list item that is showing the Comments area. It shows that you can use @mention to bring a comment to someone’s attention:

Using @ and my last name, it found my full name that I can click on and add to the comment:

After I add my name and message, the comment is displayed with my @mention name showing:

Using the @mention in a comment triggers an email notification to be sent to the person who was mentioned, along with a link to go directly to that list item:
