Depending on how you use OneNote, you may want to be able to see who updated parts of a OneNote page. There’s an option on the Ribbon Bar called Hide Authors that does that for you.
Here I have a page that’s been updated by a variety of people. By clicking on History > Hide Author (it’s an on/off toggle option), I see a series of colored bars next to the content along with the initials of the person who updated it (in last name, first name order):
If I click the button again, that line and set of initials disappear.
If you’re the only person who updates a page, it’s probably something that won’t be of much use. But since you can toggle it on and off, it makes for a handy way to see who might have added something that you are questioning.
