Inserting screenshots in Word

This is an awesomely cool trick I learned from Christian Buckley during our last Office Productivity Tips Grudge Match webinar. This allows you to easily pull a screenshot of an open Window into your Word 2016 document. Here’s how it works…

When you’re in a Word document, place your cursor in the document where you’d like to add the screenshot. Then select Insert > Screenshot from the Ribbon Bar:

This brings up thumbnails of all the open and available Windows that you currently have open on your computer. Once you click on the desired thumbnail, the screenshot is placed into your Word document:

You’ll also get the Picture Tools Ribbon Bar options to do whatever editing you might need to do on the image.

This is so much easier than trying to snag images, copy, save, and paste them. A very awesome tip that I had never noticed before.
