When you’re in a group chat in Microsoft Teams, you might find yourself wanting to bring a new person into the chat. While you can go to the upper-right corner, find the list of people in the chat, and add them from there, you can also add someone by just putting an @ symbol in the message area. Here’s how that works…
I’m in a group chat, and I want to add another person to the chat. To start the process, I put the @ symbol in the chat and select Add someone to the chat:

From there, I select the name of the person to add in the Add area, and then determine how much of the chat history should be viewable to them. Once I have those two pieces of information in place, I click Add:

Sandra has now been added to the chat and she can see all the chat history:
