Getting search results context in Microsoft Teams

One of the frustrating things about searching in Microsoft Teams has been that you didn’t really get the context behind a particular chat message that matched the search parameters. With a recent update, you can now click on that chat search result and see the full context of the chat message. Here’s how that works…

In this example, I am searching for the word “mixer”, and I see the chat with Sandra that has that word:

Now when I click through for that search result, I see the entire chat, so I don’t have to guess what came before or after it:

This is a very good change which makes it easier to go back and find the relevant information you have stored in Teams.
