Editing your last Microsoft Teams chat message with the Up Arrow key

This is a really quick tip that can make it very easy to correct your last chat message in Teams without hunting for an ellipsis. Just click the Up Arrow key on your keyboard! Here’s how it works…

In this example, I created a chat message to myself and misspelled the word “message”. To quickly edit that last entry, I just put my cursor in the chat message area and click the Up Arrow key:

By doing that, it puts my last message into edit mode, where I can make my correction and click the Checkmark icon to re-save it:

And here’s my corrected message:

Keep in mind… this only works for chat messages, and it only works if your message is the last one in the list of entries. Also, you can only go to that last entry… the Up Arrow does not scroll up through previous messages.
