Pinning your favorite channels in Microsoft Teams

If you have a number of Microsoft Teams workspaces that you are part of, it can be a hassle to stay focused on the few select channels that are meaningful and that need your attention. A recent enhancement will make that much easier now… Pinned Channels in the Microsoft Teams client. Here’s how that works…

Find the channel you want to pin to your Teams sidebar, and click the Ellipsis icon. Then click the Pin option:

Machine generated alternative text:

Unified Communications
General
All Employee Video Solution
SharePoint Support Team
2 hidden channels
Hidden teams
Conversations
Channel notifications

Connectors

The channel remains in the Team channel list, but it also appears in a new Pinned section at the top of your Teams sidebar, where it’s easy to find:

Machine generated alternative text:
Teams
Pinned
E General
Unified Communications
Your teams

All Employee Video Solution
SharePoint Support Team

And if you want to unpin one of your channels, just click the Ellipsis icon next to the pinned channel entry, and select the Unpin option:
