Creating a link to a specific OneNote page, section, or notebook

OneNote has become a “can’t live without” tool for us on the SharePoint team. We store meeting minutes, site documentation, reference material, and many other things we use on a daily basis.

However, if we add something new to a OneNote notebook, it may go unnoticed by others on the team unless they know to go look there. Today I stumbled across an easy way to get a link to a specific OneNote page that you can use to let someone quickly see the material.

To do this, go to a page in your OneNote section, right-click on the page, and select Copy Link To Page:

You can then paste the formatted link into an email, a Word document, or anything else that you’re working on:

You can also do the same thing with links to a OneNote section or a OneNote notebook. Just make sure to select the section or notebook you’re linking to:
