Microsoft Teams and voice mail greetings

c

The system greeting that people will get if you don’t answer the call will say the person is unavailable and leave a message after the tone. “The person” would use the recipient’s actual name in the message, and that applied to both internal and external callers.

Going forward, only internal callers will hear the person’s actual name. External callers will simply hear “the person”.

This is a good way to prevent external callers (which could be spammers) from learning more about you than you might want to reveal. Please note that this *only* applies to the default system greeting. If you’ve chosen to record your own greeting, that will continue to be played as you recorded it.
