As you may be aware, you can create a clickable hyperlink that opens a new email automatically addressed to someone, along with a subject link. However, sometimes it’s a bit difficult to remember the format and syntax of the link. If you’re doing this in the Outlook client, there’s an easy way to get the link created and formatted properly without having to remember any of the parameters. Here’s how that works…
From the Outlook client (this doesn’t work for Outlook on the web), put your cursor in the body of the email and select Message > Link. That will cause the Insert Hyperlink dialog panel to appear:

In the E-mail address field, type in the email address of the addressee you want your email to go to. It will automatically add the mailto: parameter to create an email link. In the Subject field, put the subject of the email you want to generate. Outlook will create the fully formatted link in the Text to display area:

The Text to display is what will appear in the body of the email you’re creating. You’ll likely want to change that to something friendly, like Send An Email To Bob!:

When you click OK, you’ll see your email hyperlink in the body of your email using the Text to display value. If you hover over the link, you’ll see the fully formatted email hyperlink:

When you click on the link, it’ll open up a new email addressed to bob@bobsbikes.com with a subject line of welcome to bob’s bikes!
