The Stream Web Part for Stream on SharePoint and OneDrive

Now that Stream Classic is in its waning days, you will need to start using the new Stream web part on SharePoint pages. This Stream web part works for videos that are stored on SharePoint and OneDrive sites. Here’s how it works…

When you create a web part on a SharePoint page, you’ll see the new Stream web part listed in the Text, media and content section:

When the Stream web part comes up, it will look like this by default if you don’t have any video content in the site. This is known as the Theater layout, showing one large video and three smaller ones underneath. To configure the web part, click on the Pencil icon in the edit bar:

In the Stream web part configuration panel, you have the choice to display all the videos on this site in the web part, or you can pick a folder or a single video:

You also have the option to show the videos in a grid view, pick how many videos and rows to show, and what order you’d like the videos displayed in:

Once you save and publish the page, you’ll see your videos based on the configuration options you chose. You can scroll through the videos using the navigation options under the video layout:
