If you use office.com as your Microsoft 365 “home page”, you might have seen and/or used the Feed feature found on the left-side navigation rail. This is your heads-up that the Feed feature is being retired starting on November 1st, 2024. It’s not a feature that we’ve talked about much, and I’m going to guess that a fair number of people are thinking right now… “What’s Feed?” Read on for a bit more info…
Feed was a way to get a summary recap of information in Microsoft 365 that might be of interest to you… things sent to you, changes of things you have access to, meeting insights, your Microsoft 365 network, and industry news. Again, it’s something that was never pushed hard, and I will admit to rarely visiting the site:

Here is the information from Microsoft on the what and why, and what else you can use to retain some of the functionality.
As part of our ongoing efforts to streamline and enhance user experiences, we will retire the Feed feature from the Microsoft 365 app, which affects www.microsoft365.com and www.office.com, as well as the Windows app (Microsoft 365 (Office).
The retirement will start November 1, 2024, and end by November 15, 2024. After the feature is retired, users will not be able to access the Feed feature on Microsoft 365 apps.
We are committed to ensuring that existing workflows remain unaffected. Launched in 2022, Feed was designed to help users explore the latest content and team activities. Over time, we have integrated the essential features of Feed into the more accessible Recommended files on the Home page of the Microsoft 365 app. We suggest using the Recommended section, which serves as a replacement to the Feed feature and is where we will continue to invest our development resources.
