Using Undo/Redo in Power Automate

I used to find it frustrating if I inadvertently made a change while editing a Power Automate workflow, only to have to bail out and start from scratch again. Power Automate now has Undo and Redo links at the top of the editing canvas to avoid these situations. Here’s what that looks like…

In my sample scenario, I deleted an action step in my workflow and decided I wanted to get it back. When I clicked on Undo, the action step reappeared. Then I decided that I really wanted to delete after all. By clicking on Redo, the action step was deleted for me.

I also did a series of changes in an Initialize Variable action, where I changed the type of variable to each of the different values (six changes). By using Undo, it walked back up the changes I made until I was back at the original setting. Then by using Redo, it recreated the six changes I had previously made without me needing to remember what I did and in what order.

This feature will definitely make creating Power Automate workflows much easier when it comes to correcting errors since the last time you saved the workflow… 🙂
